The World·28 August, 2023

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky allowed elections to be held in the country during the martial law.
His words are transmitted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, it is prohibited to hold elections under the law at such a time, as this is a complex process.

"My answer is very simple, if our parliamentarians are ready, because then we will need changes to the legislation, to the electoral code, to do it quickly," the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelensky noted at the same time that holding elections is possible with the financial support of the European Union and the United States.

The President of Ukraine also stated that he intends to return part of the property previously privatized by the oligarchs to the state.
