The Vice President of Laos will participate in the WEF plenary session together with Putin
The main foreign guest at the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) this year will be the Vice President of Laos (a Southeast Asian country) Pani Yathotu, said the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
Yathotu, together with President Vladimir Putin, will take part in the WEF plenary session on September 12, before the session they will have a separate bilateral meeting, Peskov said.
He added that the Russian president would also meet that day with Vice Premier of the State Council of China Zhang Guoqing, who will also take part in the WEF.
The VIII Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 10 to 13 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. Its main theme is "On the way to cooperation, peace and prosperity". Delegations from India, North Korea, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Myanmar are also expected to attend the forum this year.
