Mayor of Bruce Laguna detained in Honduras

The law enforcement agencies of Honduras conducted a large—scale operation against drug traffickers in the Caribbean region, among the detainees is the mayor of the city of Brus Laguna, Wilmer Wood.

"The prosecutor's office has liquidated three criminal organizations engaged in drug trafficking, among the detainees is the mayor of Brus—Laguna," the department said.

It is noted that Wood allegedly organized the transportation of about 30 tons of cocaine by boats and planes.

Earlier it was reported that Berlin wants to approve a plan to legalize the storage of marijuana and its trade in limited volumes. The government believes that this will help fight the black market and protect consumers from a low-quality product.
